Hi everyone and thanks for taking the time to check us out. My name is Peter Quinn and I am the owner of Quinnco Photography. We photograph a wide range of subjects, from weddings and individual or family portraits, to commercial and editorial subjects as well.
Although I enjoy photographing a variety of subject, one of my favorites is wedding photography. There is just something about documenting the story of that special day as it unfolds which is indescribable. And to be trusted to do that is truly an honor. People often ask photographers about their style and how they would describe it and that can be difficulty. Let’s call it a hybrid of photo journalistic and guided coverage. The term “photo journalistic” has been a bit overused lately but in the sense that it means that I cover your story as more an observer than someone who is going to move you from pose to pose I would say that is true. Following you throughout your day I look to capture the small, often unnoticed moments that make your day special. That is not to say that we won’t include some traditional posing because we do, unless of course you specifically do not want any of that. There are always a few traditional poses that most people want and we work with you to capture those as well.
Our philosophy is that it is your day and we are there to put it into pictures. Sounds obvious but sometimes it needs to be said. There are some folks out there that forget that it’s your wedding and they are there to support you, not the other way around.
We want you to look back over your images years later and relive your day with the same excitement as you had the day we captured them. That is our goal and to do that we work closely with you throughout your planning, your wedding, and going forward in your new life with your spouse. We are building a relationship with you that we hope continues for years.
We are a member of the Professional Photographers of America, the Professional Photographer’s Society of New York and the Hudson Valley Professional Photographer’s Society of New York.
