One of those special days…

Well folks, today I had the privilege to work with a a very special family. Mary and Ron Walton asked me to photograph them and their grandchildren…. all fourteen of them! It was a blast and these kids were great to work with. But that alone isn’t what made it a special session. These kids are part of a family where three husbands/brothers are serving in the Army. All of these men have either been in Iraq or are slated to go there shortly. Whenever I get the opportunity to work with families like this it really makes me stop and think of the sacrifices that so many people are making so that I can do the things I love to do in a country as great as ours.

Having served in the Marine Corps I know how important it is to know that your family is safe at home, no matter where you have to go or what you have to do to make that happen. So I would like to take an extra moment on this holiday weekend to offer a big “THANK YOU!” to all of the men and women serving in our armed forces.
